Jim Finch
Mr. Finch is a Senior Associate of the KappaWest
professional staff. With many years of hands-on management
experience, he has served in a variety of strategic planning
positions, e.g. CEO of a publicly-listed company; President and/or
General Manager; VP-E-Commerce Product Management; VP-Sales; and as
an outside Director of the Board of several companies/organizations.
In the above-mentioned capacities and as a veteran
consultant, Mr. Finch has improved client sales strategies and
effectiveness from the basic selling role to executive level
management and planning across a wide range of industries including
communications, information technology, healthcare, distribution
& supply chain, publishing, human resources, and
financial/insurance services.
Mr. Finch is a Certified
Management Consultant (CMC) with CMC-Canada and also an Information
Systems Professional (I.S.P.- ITCP) with CIPS (Canadian Information
Processing Society). As the only Canadian to achieve the position of
Vice President, IFIP (International Federation for Information
Processing based in Vienna, Austria), Mr. Finch is a recipient of
IFIP's prestigious Silver Core award for international service. Other
awards include the CIPS Calvin C. Gotlieb Award for his contribution
to information processing in Canada and the Toronto
ASM "Man of the Year" award for his significant efforts in
the field of systems management. He is a founding member of the
(ISC)² which during his tenure launched the highly successful CISSP
certification for Information Systems Security Professionals. Mr.
Finch is a graduate of the University
of Toronto with
major in political science and economics.
Widely traveled, Mr. Finch has been a featured
speaker on many occasions both in North America and overseas: the UK (England
and Northern Ireland),
Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland,
Sweden, Finland, New
Zealand, South
Africa, USSR,
India
and elsewhere.
Mr. Finch is passionate about professionalism in
management and driving correct and practical decisions concerning
corporate strategic directions.
