Daniel D. Baird
Mr. Baird is a senior member
of the KappaWest professional staff, and has developed
and led several Wargames in the Healthcare, medical
device, pharmaceutical, defense, and consumer products
sectors. He is an accomplished intelligence professional,
who has planned and conducted intelligence operations
and developed intelligence organizations, both
in the public and private sector. His background
includes developing the business intelligence and
strategic planning infrastructure for a FORTUNE
100 Medical Device and Consumer Products Company.
Mr. Baird’s expertise
in intelligence analysis and Wargaming comes
from over 16 years of military service in the
U.S. Army Intelligence Corps and the U.S. Army
Special Operations Command. As a veteran of multiple
wars, from Bosnia to Afghanistan, Mr. Baird has
extensive experience in strategic planning, operations,
and training.
Mr. Baird has a B.A. in International Relations
and Political Science from Michigan State University,
as well as an M.S. in Medical Science and an M.B.A.
in Healthcare Management. Mr. Baird has spent 15
years in the Medical field as a Certified Surgical
Assistant, and currently serves as President of
the Board of Directors of the National Surgical
Assistant Association. Mr. Baird has also served
as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the
National Surgical Assistant Association, and has
extensive experience in writing legislation regarding
professional credentials and standards development
within the regulated healthcare environment. As
an active member of the Coalition for Professional
Certification, Dan also participates in the development
and management of private sector certification
programs.
Mr. Baird has spent more than 15 years in the
private sector, and his business background includes
marketing, business development, strategic planning,
and product innovation, specifically in the medical
device arena. During his time in the private sector,
Mr. Baird has been awarded numerous United States
and International Medical Device Patents.
